I am a warrior/ranger and this mission seems to be really difficult. Ive even parties with level 17+ and my party still dies. I am level 15 myself. What level should I attempt this mission? It seems like all I can do because it seems like I've done all the quests up to this point. I've failed at least 3 times on this mission.

in the beginning, wait for the rangers to come to you, so you don't have to fight em all at once. I've had groups die right in the beginning cause they were stupid enough to aggro both.

when you get to the part with the boss, mesmers, and rangers, stop about half way into the clearing and wait for the normal guys to walk away from the boss. kill them, then kill the boss.

when you get to the bridge, wait until there's only one group of them, then proceed.

there's not a whole lot of good advice for the next part, other than avoid drawing multiple groups, and kill the warlocks that raise the dead first (after monk guys of course).

you shouldn't have any trouble until you get to Hablion and the cinimatic. follow hablion. there's a part where he goes in a different direction than the end of the mission. if you don't follow him, you fail.

when you get to the end in the swamps, take it slow, and avoid the water as much as possible. carefully pull small groups and take them out, and having someone who can exploit the corpses helps a lot. see if you can get a necromancer to spam Well of Blood so that the enemies can't use the corpses to make more enemies for you. killing Warlocks helps too, but I find poison and disease more bothersome than weak minions.

If things go bad, run back to the white mantle guys. they can usually slaughter whatever small group followed you pretty easily. and then go back and res. don't res the healer henchman, if you've got another guy with resurect, because she will die of disease while she tries to res people.

What part are you dieing? All I can add to what has been said is to make sure you wait before crossing the first little bridge till there is only 4 creatures there, the big group is on patrol and will move off , kill them and move up the hill quickly but not too far as to aggro the group below the hill.

In the last part of the swamp when the White Knights split, go to the right side of the map. Keep your party on top of the hill and let one person go down the hill and lure groups out of the swamp. If your party stays up on the hill they won`t be fighting in the poison water.

I tried doing this mission several times with henchmen but only completed it with a group of people and we did it in one try. Was a 15lvl Wa/Mo.

I can't even begin to explain how to do this... but if this is the one with the Watch Towers... my group made it through without dying once (at least I didn't die). I know that we ran through to the bridge and across... I was just following the lead.

If this is the first Kryta mission... then you shouldn't have too many problems. I suggest locating a strong group of various professions, and a solid leader who has done the mission before.

There has been only ONE quest in this game that I had issues with... and it was the 2000 experience one. The missions I've beaten ALL of them in one shot, or with the same group on a second try.

The first time I did this mission way back in the beta I found it insanely tough with my pick up group. My first try in retail I did it at lvl 14 with my girlfriend who is also lvl 14 and henchies. The second time in retail when I went to do the bonus I did it with just henchies.

The best thing you can do is make sure you have at someone with a skill that can remove conditions (because of all the poison), fight smart (drop the warlocks first), take your time (one group at a time), call your targets and be patient. Far too many people (I find anyway) try to rush through all the missions.

I think this is the first truly difficult mission in the game. Because of this, most players arent used to playing patiently yet and that causes alot of deaths. Its really not so bad, just recognizing that its a hard mission helps alot. Slow down, dont walk in poison water and youll have no trouble.

Thumbs up Exactly!

Still really strange how those ppl that rush into everything, dont listen and get your party killed or your bonus screwed get to the end of the game...

On topic: I beat this mission a lot of times and never ever followed the Justiciar. Also, I always took the right side hill with the healing NPCs. And stayed there for a while to kill the waves of ghouls and warlocks. Then one person is running int the swamp to lure some mobs to the hill (so outside the poison!). After all these are death, walk carefully to the boss. There is a good spot of solid ground outside the aggro sphere of this boss (I guess it is one boss and one necrid horseman). Wait ill all poison is worn our, everyone is healed and kill em all!

One mor frustration: pulling. Most of the ppl do not understand what pulling means. They just run after the puller or run towards him if they see enemies follow him. Effect is that they engage the monsters on a spot you wouldnt want to engage (hence the pull). So, ppl, please stay at your location and wait for the puller to return with the fresh meat!

Well, thats it for now. I am going back to the game.

Have fun!

If you don't rush and your monk knows what he's doing then one healer is enough. If he burns all his energy with the wrong spells you run into trouble very soon. Whole party poisoned can cause panic quite fast
Alesia works just fine most of the time if you manage to keep her out of the poison water.
About the remove condition spells : im not exactly sure if you should really use them here. It's very likely that your target gets poisoned again one second after you remove it ... so just casting healing breeze if someone is poisoned is maybe the better option. Of course that holds only while there are still archers around, when you killed them all feel free to use it
Having a W/Mo using maxed mending as tank is a clear advantage since that will cut down the health deregeneration from poison to one arrow.

wonderworm is right if a monk knows what hes doing you'll be ok
but just for safety you'll be beter of with 2 monks
cause i had a lot of times that i was the only monk an that we split into 2 groups, and a lot of monkskills need to be close (not as close as other ones but close) so you can only heal a couple of party mebers

if you have 2 monks you almost never die
because there is always someone watching your back

Did it quite a few times with just henchmen. Either you're doing something wrong or someone in your group is.

it took me twice to do this mission with my e/monk.........a month or so ago......its challenging for that time and lvl..........advise you would need at least 2 monks that heals and purges condition

Alright, just to add to this poster... I've done this mission ending Alone on two occasions...

All you have to do, is make sure the npc's you travel with on the right hill side stay alive.... Then, pull all the creatures towards that area, there will be two healers(npc's) that will heal you, and you wont ever die... and if you keep em all alive, you'll have extra people that dmg the enemies as well... it's quite easy if you're use to pulling anything...

Hey Sasquatch, any chance your avatar had anything to do with a recent Maddox article? Just curious.
